It always seems that as soon as I find one tidbit of information, and post about it, even more surfaces! In addition to the interview with Total Film magazine that I shared previously, Toy Story 4 Director Josh Cooley also spoke recently with the entertainment website Fandango. And, most exciting of all, I also discovered a potential image of Bo Peep’s new look!
I hope everyone has had a happy holiday! Although we’re still without the official Toy Story 4 “first look” images we’ve been hoping for, I do have an interview to share, with some comments from the film’s director, Josh Cooley.
Here’s a particularly festive find! On Twitter yesterday, @DrewTailored shared an image of Pixar’s Christmas card for 2018. It features an adorable drawing of Bo Peep, Woody, and Bullseye – as well as an interesting hint about Toy Story 4 that was hidden in the post’s comments.
Just today, a new international poster for Toy Story 4 was revealed on Disney Ireland’s Twitter account. Simply stunning in its design, and far more detailed than the previous teaser images, this one offers several clues of the film’s plot in the background.
Toy Story is one of Disney and Pixar’s best-selling properties, so of course there’s always merchandise featuring the toys available in Disney stores and on the shopDisney website – even if it’s just the classic dolls of Woody, Buzz, and Jessie. It’s also become easier in recent years to find Toy Story apparel, accessories, and collectibles marketed for adults. Yesterday, however, while browsing online for Christmas ideas, my husband stumbled upon the very first officially-licensed products branded specifically for Toy Story 4 – that can be bought right now, not at a later release like the books that have been posted – and, I must say, he’s very proud of this discovery; I had to give him credit.
I can’t help but notice that now that the first trailers are out, and Toy Story 4 is back in the spotlight, there seems to be a lot of confusion and misinformation circulating about the current plot and where things stand. It’s been ages since I did a recap post – considering we’ve heard nothing from Pixar for such a long time – so I figured it would be helpful to summarize what we actually know about the movie as of right now.
The past 24 hours have been very exciting for Toy Story fans! In this short time, we’ve gotten two new Toy Story 4 teaser trailers; synopses of certain elements of the film’s plot; four new teaser posters; and, we’ve met three brand-new characters! My head’s still reeling a little bit from all the new information, but I’m so happy to finally have some official details from Pixar to share!
Today I discovered another interview with Tim Allen, this time on the set of Last Man Standing, where Extra TV talked to him about his series, as well as Toy Story 4. His statements about the upcoming sequel were much like the others he’s made over the past few weeks, and touched upon the emotional nature of the film.
I’m really thankful for Tim Allen’s round of interviews right now, leading up to the new-network premiere of his sitcom Last Man Standing. Today another one surfaced – this time from radio station Majic 95.5 – where he shared probably the most Toy Story 4 information we’ve gotten in quite some time.
