As you can guess from the title of my blog, I’m a huge Toy Story fan. I remember going to see the first Toy Story movie in the theater, back in 1995; but it wasn’t until the third in the series came out, in 2010, that I truly fell in love with the toys and their world. I’ve been a Disney and Pixar fan since forever, but something about Toy Story 3 stole my heart.
Why does Toy Story mean so much to me? Well, for one thing, Buzz and Jessie remind me an awful lot of my husband and myself (and our son is very much like Woody). I relate to Jessie on many levels, personally, and see a lot of myself in her. But overall, I’m simply captivated by this motley group of friends who see themselves as family, and who, even though they might not always see eye-to-eye, are always there for each other when it counts.
Although I already maintain a Toy Story themed Tumblr blog, I decided to start this one as a place for me to be able to write a little more in detail about the news surrounding Toy Story 4 and the soon-to-be-built Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. There’s going to be a lot to talk about over the next three years, before the movie premieres (June 21, 2019) and the land opens (projected summer 2018). It’s an exciting time to be a Toy Story fangirl! Join me for the adventure!
