Toy Story is one of Disney and Pixar’s best-selling properties, so of course there’s always merchandise featuring the toys available in Disney stores and on the shopDisney website – even if it’s just the classic dolls of Woody, Buzz, and Jessie. It’s also become easier in recent years to find Toy Story apparel, accessories, and collectibles marketed for adults. Yesterday, however, while browsing online for Christmas ideas, my husband stumbled upon the very first officially-licensed products branded specifically for Toy Story 4 – that can be bought right now, not at a later release like the books that have been posted – and, I must say, he’s very proud of this discovery; I had to give him credit.
The new collection of items is part of shopDisney’s custom-printed line, and features the poster that was released last week, of Woody on a mottled brown background, with the Toy Story 4 logo replacing the “June 2019” of the original poster. The image is available on shirts for men, women, and children; iPhone and Galaxy cases; iPad and MacBook sleeves; mugs; water bottles; and tote bags.
All of these items can be customized, whether by choosing a different color shirt or background, or by adding text. The cases/sleeves are available for a variety of devices as well. Links are included on the caption of each photo.
I knew it was just a matter of time before movie-specific merchandise started to pop up. This is both exciting and daunting news for Toy Story collectors like me, because I still need to budget and prepare display space for all the awesome new things that will be hitting the stores soon! Will you be buying any of these items? I just might have to get something, to show my support and excitement for the new movie!
