I always enjoy seeing the artwork on the children’s books – it’s so appealing, and I may be buying Welcome to Andy’s Room and Beyond strictly for the illustrations alone! Many of these covers are similar to others we’ve seen already, as far as the characters they include, but I do have to point out one little difference that has piqued my curiosity. The Tales of Teamwork book says it will feature “an all-new room from Toy Story 4” – and on the cover, we see Gabby Gabby in what appears to be a pink dollhouse, brushing her hair and looking not very much like a villain. I have to say, I’m suspicious of all of Pixar’s openness about Gabby Gabby being the bad girl in all of this. I can’t help but wonder if there’s going to be a dramatic twist concerning her, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
We haven’t gotten all of the Toy Story 4 book covers yet – not even close. There are still quite a few without images online. These artwork reveals are one of my favorite things – more so than the toys and other merchandise – so I’m keeping a close eye on book sites for anything new. Stay tuned, I’ll be sure to share when I find anything exciting!
