Let me start out by saying that I am not usually a right-place-at-the-right-time sort of girl. More often than not, the events I’d most like to attend take place in California or New York; rarely does something occur in a location that’s convenient for me. So, when I got an exciting Twitter notification while we were on our most recent Walt Disney World vacation, I was completely blown away by our unusual turn of good fortune.

Toy Story 4: Is This Our First Glimpse?

Did Pixar give us Toy Story fans a belated Christmas present? Is this the very first concept art to be released for Toy Story 4? The image – which is consistent with the style of a storyboard sketch – was tweeted by Pixar Story Supervisor Matthew Luhn on Sunday:
Sneak Peek! ‘Toy Story That Time Forgot’ Blu-Ray Bonus Features
On Tuesday, November 3, Toy Story That Time Forgot will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD, and I can’t wait! Of course I’ll be running out as early as I can to buy it, just like I did with Toy Story of TERROR! last year. A new Pixar Blu-ray is definitely something to look forward to, because they never fail to give us a wealth of behind-the-scenes treasures.
Date Set for Toy Story 20th Anniversary TV Special
This week, ABC announced dates and times for their upcoming holiday programming schedule, including the new television special celebrating Toy Story’s 20th anniversary! The hour-long program will air at 8:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, December 10, followed by a showing of the original Toy Story film. Here’s the description, from an official press release:
Heart and Humor: John Lasseter at the Lyon Film Festival
This week, John Lasseter has been in Lyon, France for the Lumière Film Festival, which celebrated Pixar’s films as a part of its 2015 program. Lasseter was honored at the event with a plaque on their Wall of Filmmakers; he introduced a 20th anniversary screening of Toy Story on October 12th; and he led a masterclass and also introduced a showing of Cars on October 13th. As always, when I hear that someone from Pixar – especially John Lasseter – is going to be making public appearances, I search high and low for coverage and recaps; even more so now, since I’m always looking for any new information about Toy Story 4. The international events are the trickiest, and although I haven’t had a lot of success finding videos of the full presentations on You Tube (more may pop up in time), I did discover this fantastic interview…
Toy Story at 20: It’s Time to Celebrate!
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Toy Story, the first feature-length animated film. Throughout all of 2015 to date, mentions of the milestone have popped up here and there, the most notable being the events at the D23 Expo in August. Now, with the film’s actual anniversary date approaching on November 22, I’m finding more and more.
Toy Story 4: Pixar’s President Discusses Their Upcoming Films
Pixar’s President, Jim Morris, was in Australia yesterday for a presentation of the studio’s upcoming slate of films. While The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory received the most attention, as would be expected, Toy Story 4 was touched upon briefly. Here’s what I’ve been able to find, from various sources…
‘Toy Story 4’ Timeline: What We REALLY Know So Far
I felt the need to write this post for myself as much as for the other Toy Story fans out there. There have been so many unfounded rumors going around lately about Toy Story 4, that I often end up searching through past articles and interviews for a reminder of what we truly know about the movie to date. I thought it would be helpful to have all the relevant quotes – from reputable, official sources – saved in one spot for future reference. So, grab a cup of coffee (or whatever your choice may be), get comfy, and travel back with me through the past ten months to review what the Toy Story 4 cast and crew have given us – there’s more than you might think!
