I’m honestly a little overwhelmed with all the news that has come out about Toy Story Land over the past 24 hours – but I’m not complaining! Yesterday, the ABC network featured previews of the land all throughout their programming, showing videos of rides, merchandise, food, and more! Here’s a recap of everything that was revealed…
Good Morning America
Good Morning America offered the most in-depth look at Toy Story Land of the day. In the video (which you can watch below), they previewed the new rides in action, as well as the adorable Wheezy animatronic that will serenade guests with “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” at the end of the Slinky Dog Dash coaster. Tim Allen (the voice of Buzz Lightyear) also made a brief appearance, endorsing the land.
There was a second video segment that was posted only on Facebook, not YouTube, so I haven’t been able to locate a shareable version of it. In this clip, Toy Story Land merchandise was shown, including several children’s tees (although mention was made of adult apparel as well), Slinky and Alien headbands, a Buzz bubble blower, a light-up Slinky Dog, a pin-trading lanyard, and a selection of pins for the land – including a blind bag series of 14 block-style pins featuring many favorite characters. You can watch the video on Facebook (link here) – but a few photos were provided later by Disney showing some of the new merchandise options.
Walt Disney World Show Director, Tom Vazzana, was also on hand to discuss entertainment offerings in Toy Story Land, including Sarge’s Boot Camp (which has been going on in Pixar Place for a while already), and a new Green Army Men Drum Corps. He also confirmed that Woody, Buzz, and Jessie will be out for meet and greets all day in the land, so that was wonderful to hear yet again!
The View
The View showed their own little sneak-peek at the land, however there wasn’t much new in this one…
The Chew
Food was the focus on The Chew, where they sampled the BBQ Brisket Melt sandwich and Chocolate Hazelnut Lunch Box Tart (garnished with bacon!) from Woody’s Lunch Box.
Nightline
Nightline didn’t offer anything different from the daytime programs, except for a slightly longer segment with Tim Allen, who joked that it should have been eleven acres of just Buzz. He had tweeted a photo of himself with Buzz just a few days prior, presumably when the interview was recorded for ABC.

Disney Parks
In conjunction with the ABC network previews, Disney also directly released this new video POV video of Slinky Dog Dash…
… along with a more comprehensive look at the Wheezy animatronic.
Who else is excited to “Play Big” this summer at Toy Story Land? I know I can’t wait!
